The diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) has advanced considerably in recent years. The two main categories of ED are psychogenic (due to stress, depression, anxiety) and organic. Organic causes may be vascular (impaired blood supply), neurologic (impaired nerve function), or hormonal (often referred to as “low T”).
Diagnosis and treatment
Differentiating the cause is important, because it may uncover previously unrecognized disease states involving the heart and vascular system, the endocrine system, or the nervous system. In other words, in certain cases ED predicts a more serious underlying medical problem. In our facility we have both expertise and the equipment, using the newest technology, to identify the root cause. As a result, we can manage expectations for treatment outcomes, as well as provide safe and effective recommendations for correcting the condition.
